Igor Stravinsky - Three pieces for solo clarinet | Antanas Makštutis
Three pieces for solo clarinet a solo instrumental work by Igor Stravinsky. The work was composed in 1918. It was published in 1919, shortly after the completion of his Suite from L'Histoire du Soldat, as a thank-you gift to the philanthropist and arts patron Werner Reinhart, who was also an amateur clarinetist. The Three Pieces is perhaps the most well-known work for unaccompanied clarinet in the repertoire. It is also notable for being one of the few clarinet solo pieces that calls for clarinets in both B♭ and A.

Very impressive for two young people, but I think they need more subtle nuances with the phrasing and more dynamics and control.
As a soprano only i forget that the bass clarinet is one octave below and still has the other 3 octaves
And if you’re really cool you have low C
Coherent is the first word that comes to mind.. Without seeing the score I can well imagine that was the composer's intent. Bravo!

Thanks, Vandoren B40 with Vandoren traditional 3.5 reed. I wish I had a better ligature, I am using a very basic BG ligature. I think it blocks a lot of the overtones

My wife and I have just played through this piece. Then we thought we should see how it should be done on youtube. It was brilliant, although the 'bobbing around' was a bit off putting.
